T1 is a type of air or oil hardening cutting tool steel materials, that’s the most widely used high speed steel for tungsten type for general purpose. It has a good combination of toughness, hardness and red hardness and is relatively easy to harden and grind. It is suitable for cutting tools or materials suitable for machining medium hardness (below 300 ~ 320HB) such as turning, planing, milling, reaming, bit, etc., powder metallurgy die and various small cold punching and shearing tools with high service life.
