SAE J524 covers cold drawn and annealed seamless low-carbon steel pressure tubing intended used for hydraulic lines and other applications. The J524 Seamless Hydraulic Tubing is especially favorable for flaring and bending, some industrial uses include aircraft, automotive, locomotive, vehicle, heavy equipment, and agricultural applications. The tubing tolerances The wall thickness shall not vary more than ±10% for tubing having 12.7 mm or larger, nominal inside diameter nor more than ±15% for tubing having a smaller nominal inside diameter. Tubing outside diameter and wall thickness shall be as specified by the purchaser.
