ASTM A513 specification covers carbon and alloy Electric Resistance Welded (ERW) carbon steel tubing for use as mechanical and a variety of industrial, agricultural and transportation-related end uses. It can be classified Type1 (Hot Rolled Electric Resistance Welded), Type 2 (cold rolled) and Type 5 (Drawn Over Mandrel) according to its treatment processing.

Wiho metals produce round carbon and alloy ERW mechanical tubing to ASTM A513 Type 1A and Type 1B ranging from 1.05″ OD up to 12.75″ OD and in nominal wall thicknesses beginning at 0.049″ and larger. A513 Type 1A is hot rolled and 1B has been pickled to remove scale then oiled which provides a cleaner surface than hot-rolled 1A tubing.
