Grade P5 and T5 tubing
Material T5 and P5 are included in ASTM or ASME suited for steam boiler parts, pressure vessels for the apparatus engineering and similar purposes where temperatures up to about 500 °C. T5 and P5 steel pipes have a similar chemical composition and mechanical properties. As for their difference, T5 tubing belongs to ASTM A213 which do Ferrite and Austenitic boiler, superheater and heat exchanger seamless steel tube. But for ASTM A335 P5 tubing, they intended for Ferritic and alloy seamless steel tube intended for high-temperature service, we can say that they have been substituted for another one when the same purpose.
