ASTM A178 is the standard specification for Electric-Resistance-Welded Carbon Steel and Carbon-Manganese Steel Boiler and Superheater Tubes. The steel shall be of Grades A (low-carbon steel), C (medium-carbon steel), or D (carbon-manganese steel).
