AISI E51100- Ball bearing steel is a kind of high-carbon high chromium bearing steel with good performance and wide application. E51100 steel has higher wear resistance and hardenability than E50100 steel. After quenching and tempering, it has higher hardness, uniform structure, good wear resistance and high contact fatigue performance. It offers general cold machining plasticity and cutting performance, poor welding performance, as well as the formation sensitivity to white point, and temper brittleness tendency has been used for making steel balls with diameters of 13.5 — 25.4mm, taper rollers with diameters of 10.3 — 18.5mm, cylindrical rollers with diameters of 9.4 — 17.2mm and spherical rollers with diameters of 9.2 — 17.1mm.
