Al-Cu alloy 2011 is a free-machining alloy containing trace amounts of lead and bismuth, with high strength and good machining performance. It is the alloy with the best cutting performance among deformed aluminum alloys, but with poor welding performance, corrosion resistance and anodic oxidation performance. 2011 aluminum alloy can be strengthened through heat treatment, in T8(solid quenching + cold deformation + artificial aging) temper state, it has high tensile strength and yield strength, has been used for machining parts and components where needs the good machining performance, such as bolts, nuts, fastener, bearings and other parts.
