Material 14MoV6-3 is a low carbon Molybdenum-Vanadium alloy steels mainly used for reheating steam pipes. In addition to 0.5%Mo and 0.5%Cr, the creep resistance is increased by 0.3%V. The 14MoV6-3 steel tube has good strength and excellent corrosion resistance which is under the normalized and tempered condition. The number 14 represents the average amount of C.
With an extremely high melting point and good high-temperature resistance, the minimum yield strength (Rp0.2) at 550℃ shall not be less than 197Mpa. Grade 14MoV6-3 tube is also specified in the standard DIN17175, 1.7715 is the EN numeric designation for this material.
