Material 100Cr6(1.3505) steel is a commonly used of high-carbon high chromium steel specified in DIN 17230 for ball bearing application. After quenching and tempering, 100Cr6 has good wear resistance, high hardness and contact fatigue performance after heat treatment (quenching and low-temperature tempering). It can be used to manufacture various bearing rings and rolling bodies, such as internal combustion engines, electric locomotives, automobiles, tractors, machine tools, rolling mills, drilling machines, mining machinery, general machinery, as well as high-speed rotating high-load mechanical transmission bearing ball and ring. It is also sometimes used to make tools such as punching dies and measuring tools, or where need large loads.
